The Hobbit The Desolation of Smaug:  After successfully crossover (and under) the Misty Mountains, Thorin and Company should get aid from a strong unknown before taking up the risks of Mirkwood Forest--without their Wizard. If they reach the human settlement 0f Lake-town it\'ll be time for the hobbit Bilbo Baggins to fullfil his contract with the dwarves. The group should complete the journey to Lonely Mountain and burglar Baggins should hunt down the secret Door which will provide them access to the hoard of the dragon Smaug. And, wherever h2s Gandalf got off to? And what\'s h1s secret business to the south?

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug 2013 berkisah tentang kelanjutan kisah petualangan Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) pada The Hobbit An Unexpected Journey saat dia melakukan perjalanan dengan Wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen) dan 13 Kurcaci yang dipimpin oleh Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) pada even pencarian epik untuk merebut kembali Lonely Mountain dan Kerajaan Dwarf Erebor yang hilang. 

Setelah mereka selamat dalam perjalanan, rombongannya terus menuju ke Timur dan di sepanjang jalan bertemu dengan Beorn, segerombolan Spider raksasa di hutan Mirkwood yang berbahaya. Setelah melarikan diri dari penangkapan di Wood-elf yang berbahaya, Kurcaci berjalan ke Lake town dan akhirnya ke Lonely Mountain.  

Disana mereka harus menghadapi bahaya terbesar dari semua makhluk yang lebih menakutkan dari yang lain, yang akan menguji keberanian mereka juga batas-batas persahabatan mereka dan kebijaksanaan dari perjalanan tersebut - Smaug the Dragon.
